Depart Ajaccio and cruise south along Corsica’s wild and rugged west coast, arriving into the beautiful anchorage of Cala di Conca – a secluded bay of turquoise water framed by pine trees and granite. Drop anchor and enjoy a long afternoon swim before sundowners onboard.
Recommendation: Dinner onboard at anchor, this is one of Corsica’s most unspoilt spots, best enjoyed in peace.
Day 2 - Cala di Conca to Bonifacio 25nm
Continue south to Bonifacio, Corsica’s most dramatic town perched high on white limestone cliffs above the sea. Arrive in time to explore the medieval citadel and the winding streets of the haute ville before returning to the yacht for the evening.
Recommendation: Aperitifs at Le Voilier on the harbour; dinner at Kissing Pigs, a local favourite serving outstanding Corsican charcuterie and natural wines.
Day 3 - Bonifacio to Lavezzi Islands 10nm
A short tender ride from Bonifacio brings you to the Lavezzi Islands, a protected nature reserve of sculpted granite rock formations and some of the most extraordinarily clear water in the Mediterranean. Spend a full day swimming, snorkelling and exploring before anchoring for a peaceful night.
Recommendation: Lunch onboard at anchor; dinner onboard as the sun sets over the islands.
Day 4 - Lavezzi Islands to Rondinara 12nm
Cruise north to Rondinara, one of Corsica’s most perfectly formed bays – a near-circular natural harbour of white sand and shallow turquoise water. This is a day for doing very little except swimming and relaxing on the beach.
Recommendation: Lunch onboard; dinner onboard, Rondinara has no restaurants, which is precisely what makes it so special.
Day 5 - Rondinara to Santa Giulia 10nm
A gentle morning passage north to Santa Giulia, a wide lagoon-style bay backed by white sand dunes and pine forest. One of southern Corsica’s most beautiful beaches and a favourite with families. Anchor in the bay and spend the afternoon on the water.
Recommendation: Lunch at U Pampasgiolu beach club on the sand; dinner onboard watching the evening light fade over the bay.
Day 6 - Santa Giulia to Rocccapina then Properiano 35nm
Depart early for Roccapina, a wild and spectacular anchorage beneath a Genoese tower and the famous lion-shaped rock formation. Stop for a morning swim before continuing north to Propriano, a chic and lively marina town in the Golfe de Valinco.
Recommendation: Lunch onboard at Roccapina; dinner at Le Cabanon du Pêcheur in Propriano – excellent fresh seafood right on the waterfront.
Day 7 - Propriano to Iles Sanguinaires 45nm
A scenic passage north along the west coast to the Îles Sanguinaires – a chain of wild rocky islands just off Ajaccio named for the blood-red colour they turn at sunset. Anchor in the sheltered bay between the islands for a final evening swim and sundowners as the sky turns golden.
Recommendation: Dinner onboard, the sunset from this anchorage is one of the finest in the whole of Corsica.
Day 8 - Iles Sanguinaires to Ajaccio 8nm (Disembarkation)
A short and leisurely final morning cruise back into Ajaccio, arriving by midday for disembarkation. A final breakfast onboard and one last swim if time allows.
