ABOUT INDONESIA
Indonesia yacht charter operates on a different scale to anywhere else in the world. Over 17,000 islands stretching across the equator, volcanic landscapes, prehistoric wildlife, and marine biodiversity that scientists are still cataloguing.
Most charters focus on one of two regions. Komodo, where strong currents have created some of the richest dive sites in the Coral Triangle – and where Komodo dragons still roam the arid volcanic hills above the waterline. And Raja Ampat in the far east, recognised by marine biologists as the most biodiverse underwater environment on the planet.
Both destinations require proper planning, experienced local crews, and an understanding of the seasonal windows. We work with a small number of trusted vessels in both regions and can advise on timing, routing, and the practicalities of getting there. A minimum of 10 nights is recommended given the distance involved.

Do I need to be an experienced diver to charter in Indonesia? No, but it helps to have some diving experience to make the most of it. Raja Ampat and Komodo are world-class dive destinations, and most charters are built around diving. That said, snorkelling in these waters is exceptional and non-divers can still have an extraordinary experience. |

How do I get to Komodo or Raja Ampat? Both require flying into Indonesia and then connecting to a regional airport. Komodo charters typically embark from Labuan Bajo (fly via Bali or Jakarta). Raja Ampat charters embark from Sorong in West Papua (fly via Jakarta or Makassar). We advise on the best routing for your trip. |

How long should an Indonesia charter be? Given the distance to travel, a minimum of 10 nights is recommended to make the most of either destination. Two weeks gives you the flexibility to explore properly without feeling rushed. Shorter trips are possible but the travel time makes them less cost-effective. |
